The Lineolated Parakeet Society is a non-profit organization established in 2006 whose purpose is to represent the Lineolated Parakeet and educate the public about keeping and breeding these birds in captivity.
THE SOCIETY STRONGLY SUPPORTS AND ENCOURAGES THE PROPER BREEDING OF THESE BIRDS WITH THE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDED BREEDING PROTOCOL:
Turquoise series and Ino Lineolated Parakeets should be paired with Green series (normal, D Green or DD Green) or Green-split series birds, at least every other generation, to keep the species strong.
Pairing red-eyed Lineolated Parakeets together (such as Lutinos to Creme-Inos) is not recommended.
According to European breeders, feather structure has been negatively impacted by the following pairings and such pairings are not advised: DD to DD bird pairings, and greywing to greywing pairings.
